Governmental Representation
Mr. Byrd served as general counsel for a special district of the State of Florida for utility service in Northern Palm Beach County, Southern Martin County, as well as the Port of Palm Beach District each for approximately ten years. Mr. Pineiro served as the City Attorney for the City of Palm Beach Gardens from 2000 to 2002. Our attorneys have represented the boards of commissioners at public meetings, assisted entities in public financing, and represented the special districts in relations with the State. Such representation included serving as counsel in bond issues, drafting and processing modifications to laws establishing the special districts, eminent domain proceedings, rule making under Florida Statutes Chapter 120, and in various litigation matters. Furthermore, our attorneys have provided legal services on topics such as sunshine law, public employee law, contracts, lien rights and procedure, real property, condemnation rights, negotiation of easements, public contract procedures, real property transactions, construction law, zoning, code enforcement, and inter-local agreements.
